Ok I do not know if you grew up with some New Wave or not. It is an old term but if you recognize it, then you will understand this next recommendation. When I was getting ready to go into 8th grade, my dad received his assignment from the Air Force to go to England. We moved there that summer. I remember listening to a mix tape with music from Depeche Mode and Alphaville as I danced around with my walkman in the yard behind our temporary housing. Don't get me started about DM, love them. So recently I was listening to Alphaville and man, even today, their music sounds so good. So I am recommending them.

Check out Alphaville's album, Forever Young. It really is great. I grew up on Depeche Mode and the like so if you did not, I am not sure how you would perceive this genre. However, it is good shit. Check it out.

Kevin and I just saw the movie "Once". A small film about an Irish musician and a random meeting with a Czech woman. They end up making music together. Nice film. Great music. The producer of this movie originally asked Glen Hansard to create a few original songs for the film and then realized he would be perfect for the lead role. Glen Hansard is a talent. All of his songs are incredibly catchy and beautiful.

You may already know him and Marketa from their song "Falling Slowly", which was played on all radio stations. However, the first scene where they meet each other in the movie, Glen is singing a song called "Say It To Me Now". Go listen to this song now. I told you I love songs that are emotional. This one has Glen yelling lyrics that will give you chills.

I have Rhapsody, an online music site, and I love it. For twelve bucks a month I can access any music I want., full length not just a stupid 30 seconds. I highly suggest it. If you have access to a music site then you will be able to listen to all of Glen's other songs when you look this one up and will not be disappointed.
